Who are we and what can we do for you?

Department of International Programs /IP/ at CMC deals with arranging of study abroad programs and trips. We have arranged many programs for a wide range of institutions including top business schools and international organisations, undergraduate and graduate students. All our programs are specifically 'tailor made' to the needs of visiting groups. Extensive research and close cooperation with those who use our facilities is one of the keys to our success - this ensures that our customers get exactly what they are looking for: great program, well organised and well thought-out which is not only informative but also enjoyable.

What can you expect from the moment you arrive?

With our wide range of contacts, own conference and hotel facilities and an experienced support team we can arrange every aspect of your stay - academic, professional and social. A typical program combines lectures and workshops presented by CMC and adjunct faculty, visits to local and multinational companies, tours of Prague and other attractive Czech tourist spots as well as other social life activities. Our staff will organize your transport, accommodation, meals, and daily activities and will provide you with a schedule as full or as free as you choose. Please, find the sample examples of some of our programs for your consideration, or ask us for more information.

Where is CMC Graduate School of Business?

CMC is located about 30 minutes east of downtown Prague (by train), in quiet campus grounds within the town of Čelákovice. The location is ideal for groups and individuals as it combines all the attractions of nearby Prague (architecture, hight-life, history, culture) with easy access to the other highlights of the Czech Republic (many in-company visits are conducted outside of Prague).

When are these programs conducted?

That’s the beauty…..you decide when programs run, our dedicated staff will work with you to custom design a program which will serve all your needs, no matter whether it is in spring or autumn.

Who are the programs aimed at?

Programs can be customized therefore they can be designed for each individual group. Typically, IP helps create study visits for MBA and Executive MBA students, as well as undergraduate students.

Why should I consider an international study tour?

The international experience gained through participation in an IP event transcends the arenas of business and culture; core issues such as cross-cultural management and business communication can be observed and practiced in the ‘living laboratory’ that is the Czech Republic. As an emerging nation the Czech Republic offers a wealth of opportunity to study the process, successes and failures associated with an economy in transition which has now also entered the market of European Union.

Combine all of the above with an historical environment which has survived the ravages of war, nazi occupation and communism and you have an unmatchable experience of history, culture, politics, management and business. Such experience will expand your horizons and develop within you a new perspective on topics ranging from business practice to public administration and the value of democracy.

What does a typical program include?

It is difficult to describe a typical program because offerings are usually tailored to the needs of each individual group. Having said that, most groups desire very similar content : lectures from distinguished and experienced experts, frequent in-company visits to observe Czech and multinational businesses at work and also leisure time activities such as various sightseeing.

What if I want a program of less than 5-days or more than 2-weeks duration?

Remember, International Programs will design a program which will fulfil your needs, but ultimately you decide the format and duration of your program. Majority of the programs we prepare are for 1-week, but they can be for several days only or for several weeks as well.

What additional services can CMC International Programs provide?

CMC also cooperates with similar partner institutions in nearby countries such as Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Germany. Therefore your stay in this region may consist of e.g. 1 week in the Czech Republic and 1 week in Hungary. It is up to you to decide when, where and for how long.
