Dr. John Ahern, CPA, MBA
Dr. Ahern graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1976 with a D.B.A. in Accounting and Monetary Economics. Currently an Associate Professor of Accountancy Dr. Ahern specializes in International Accounting and Auditing. He has received awards for his teaching and research, including awards from DePaul University and Illinois CPA Society. Dr. Ahern will be teaching Accounting for Managers in the Czech MBA program.
Mgr. Jiří Boháček, Dr.
Mgr. Boháček works as a Marketing Manager in University of economics and management. He specializes in marketing management, operations management, managing multinational corporations, and communication and media strategies. Besides lecturing he also worked for Škoda Auto, car producer as a Market Research Director and Brand Manager. He graduated from Charles University Prague, Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology.
RNDr. Michal Červinka Ph.D.
Dr. Červinka works as an Assistant Professor and Research Scientist at Institute of Economic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences Charles University in Prague. He specializes in Econometrics. He graduated from Charles University Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Department of Probability and Statistics. He earned his PhD. at Charles University Prague & ÚTIA AV ČR. He actively participates in grant projects for example: Development of a programming system for solving large scale nonlinear and nonsmooth optimization problems.
Robert O. Zimmerman, Ph.D.
Dr. Zimmerman is Forensic Economic Analyst and professor emeritus at Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Management. His major is Economics and Business. He worked as lecturer in Executive MBA Programs in Torun, Poland, and in Brno for Dominican University, Illinois USA; he conducted seminar on Risk Management in Financial Institutions for the Ping An Insurance Company of China; lecturer on International Economics, Oklahoma City University.
PhDr. Michal Čakrt
Professor Čakrt is a member of the CMC adjunct faculty and has lectured in MBA program as well as in open and customised courses specialising in management psychology, leadership and team co-operation. He acted as management consultant in the area of international management and top leadership. Graduating in Sociology at Charles University in Prague, he continued his advanced studies at Harvard Business School and the Graduate School of Management at the University of California in Irvine, where he was also Visiting Professor.
PhDr. Pavel Vacek Ph.D.
Dr. Vacek is an Assistant Professor, Head of Department of European Economic Integration and Economic Policy, Institute of Economic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague. Previously he worked as an Assistant Professor, School of Business, University of Alberta, Canada for 2 years. He earned his MA at Charles University, Prague and PhD. at Cornell University, USA. His specializations are International Business, Industrial Organization, Competition Economics, International Economics and Economic Development. As a partner in a company he does consulting work in the field of competition economics. He is a member of American Economic Association.
Ing. Tomáš Šalamon, MBA
Mr. Šalamon graduated from University of Economics, Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, Prague. His field of interest is economic simulation in multi-agent systems. In past, topics of his works included: efficient markets theory, deflation and government investment incentives.
His MBA he earned at DePaul University Chicago. His teaching experience has included teaching of 4 college courses during last 5 years on both undergraduate and graduate level and supervising about twenty bachelor’s and master’s theses. He is one of two authors of 4IT495 Simulations of Social Systems course that he is currently teaching. Currently he works as CEO of a local healthcare provider in the area of Roztoky and surroundings.
Ing. Libor Friedl, MBA
He graduated from Technical University in Brno, Faculty of Engineering. His MBA he earned at Sheffield Hallam University, Great Britain. He specializes in strategic management, benchmarking and project management. Currently he is a Managing Director in Centre of Applied Economic Research (CAER), Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín, Faculty of Management and Economics. During his study visits he was in Japan, USA, Sweden and Great Britain. He works as a self-employed lecturer, consultant, facilitator. He cooperates with selected organizational partners to satisfy training or consulting needs of their clients. He lectures on various conferences in Czech Republic but also in Italy, France, Finland and South Africa.
Ing. Jaroslav Linhart, Ph.D.
He obtained university degree at Czech University of Agriculture, Prague, Faculty of Economics and Management. Mr. Linhart currently holds position of associate professor teaching Marketing Management, Project Management, and e-Marketing at Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Faculty of Economics and Management. He cooperates with University of Stockholm, University of Metz, France – as a visiting professor. He participates in researches under research framework of these universities. He is a member of Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Group of Bruges, Czech representative of Union of Oil Seed Producers and processors, chairman of advisory co-operative Agentura Agropro.
Joris H.T. Stadhouders, MSc
Assistant Professor of E-Business. Holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands) and a M.Sc. from Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands). Was an automation expert for the Netherlands Economic Institute, has worked in management consultancy positions in South America and Central Asia and has lectured applied statistics and information technology courses. Lectures Computer Applications, Management Information Systems, Information Technology for Executive Action, and Quantitative Techniques.
Prof. Dr. S. Paul Verluyten
In the last 20 years Paul Verluyten has organized numerous training seminars on intercultural communication. Paul Verluyten has participated in expatriate pre-departure training programs organized by a major international consulting agency. He has performed as a consultant on intercultural issues for various companies, including the European headquarters of a Japanese automobile manufacturer and the Brussels office of a major American executive search office. He has given numerous presentations, in English, French and Dutch, on intercultural communication and related topics, in Belgium as well as in many countries in Europe, America and Asia.
Jacques Brook, DBA
Jacques W. Brook is associate professor of corporate innovation strategies & emerging markets. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Doctor of Business Administration degree with distinction from the Maastricht School of Management. His research field of interests include strategic leadership, institutional innovation, business transformation and emerging markets. In addition to his academic activities Jacques W. Brook held managerial and consulting positions in the industry. He is Partner at Ordina N.V. a leading Dutch Information Technology service provider. Before joining Ordina, he worked for KPN, the largest telecom service in The Netherlands. In the field of new business, he led various innovation projects and programs focusing on next generation Internet based multimedia service platforms and business modeling. He was also involved in corporate restructuring programs across the fixed network and mobile network divisions within KPN.
Prof. Kami S.P. Rwegasira, Ph.D.
MSM Associate Dean (1996-2003) responsible for Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Degree studies Division including the DBA European-American as well as Global outreach DBA programs. He holds MBA, M.Phil., and PhD in finance from Columbia University Graduate Business School in New York city (USA). He has practical experience in financial planning in industry and as a financial analyst in the banking sector. He has taught in several countries at various universities and institutions of higher learning including the City University of New York (USA) and Slough College (UK) as well as University of Dar es Salaam, ESAMI (Arusha) and the IFM (Dar) of which he was the deputy and interim Director (CEO). He has consulted for various international institutions including the World Bank, UN-DTCD (New York) and ILO (Geneva) as well as national governments, including the Dutch, Norwegian, Pakistan and Tanzanian government.
Robert L. Flood, DSc/PhD/CEng/FinstMC
He is an internationally recognized authority on applied systemic thinking in the areas of strategic management, organizational behavior and organizational improvement. This was marked in 1997 by the award of Doctor of Science (Econ., Hull University) for a sustained and authoritative contribution to the field of management. His previous academic achievements include Doctor of Philosophy (1985, City University) in Systems Science, and Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours, 1983, City University) in Systems and Management. Dr. Flood is also a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control. He was appointed to a full professorship at the age of 32 (Hull University). Dr. Flood worked nine years full time, including in the film business, the health service, and an opinion poll agency; and thirteen years in the university sector (City University and Hull University).
Stephanie K. Jones, Ph.D.
Dr. Jones graduated with a PhD from University College London, having gained her Bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics. Specializing in management and HRM, Dr. Jones managed consulting and training businesses in the UK, Hong Kong, PRC, India , Australia and Dubai , from 1988 to 2001. Moving to academic life in 2001, she was previously based at the Kuwait Maastricht Business School (2005-7), and taught at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (2002-5) and the American University in Dubai (2001-2). She has also taught for the Universities of Exeter, Cranfield and Leicester of the UK. Dr. Jones has authored over 25 full-length internationally-published books on business and management, including on the subjects of leadership, cross-cultural issues, psychometric testing, recruitment, career development and expatriation. Her 2005 book, Nelson’s Way: leadership lessons from the great commander, reached the top ten best-selling business books in the UK.
Dhruba Lahiri, MBA/M.Phil.
Dhruba is presently an Assistant Professor in International Business. He has been associated with MSM since 1995 specializing in International Business, Strategy and Marketing and has been teaching in the MBA & Executive MBA programs. He has an MBA from Manchester Business School, UK (1992), a post-graduate Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a Bachelors degree in Economics from India. Dhruba is currently pursuing his DBA at MSM. His research interest is in developing an empirically tested methodological framework to identify, select and predict high growth micro enterprises.
Stephen L. Gomes, PH.D.
Dr. Gomes is an experienced university professor, training specialist, business executive and seasoned management consultant with broad international experience in management of large-scale technical enterprises and entrepreneurial startups. Gomes has an active MBA teaching, business consulting and training practice which includes a broad range of corporate, private, philanthropic and government clients (list provided upon request). His primary specialization is teaching and business consulting in the formation of high-performance, international joint ventures, strategic alliances, partnerships, merger integration. He has held senior executive management positions including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Senior Vice President in companies that range from small manufacturing to large international engineering companies.
